The herbs in my garden made out fairly well over the winter. I lost a lavender plant, but everything else I expected to survive seemed to thrive. The chives and sage have grown a lot and have beautiful blue flowers, the rosemary, thyme, oregano, lemon thyme, and parsely are thriving too. However, the weeds seemed to overtake it all. At left is is what greeted me on arrival.
After many hours of work, my real herb garden has emerged and been added to with basil, taragon, and once the seeds start growing, more parsely, cilantro, and dill. I also stuck some green and red pepper plants in there. Nelson had already planted some tomatoes below the herb garden section, and they seem to be thriving too. Already anxiously awaiting good food for the summer!
